The 1850 home of John H. Stevens in Minnehaha Park, a sprawling city park in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Colonel Stevens was the first settler in the area, west of the Mississippi River. His home became the center of social and political gatherings to the point that it became known as "The Birthplace of Minneapolis"
