The papers of E. A. Goldenweiser, economist, were given to the Library of Congress by
his wife, Pearl (Ann) Allen Goldenweiser, in 1955. An addition was given by Margaret
Kamarck, in 1977.
Processing History
The collection was processed in 1955 and expanded after the gift of an addition in 1977.
The finding aid was revised in 2013. The finding aid was updated in 2023 by Maria Farmer
as part of a division-wide remediation project by the Inclusive Description Working
Group.

The papers of Emanuel Alexander Goldenweiser (1883-1953) span the years 1911-1952, with
the bulk of the material concentrated in the period from 1930 to 1945. The collection
relates almost wholly to financial and economic affairs with major emphasis on Federal
