The papers of Rosamond Pinchot, actress, were given to the Library of Congress by Bibi Gaston and James Pinchot Gaston in 2010.
The papers of Rosamond Pinchot were arranged and described by Donna Ellis in 2011. The finding aid was updated in 2023 by Maria Farmer as part of a division-wide remediation project by the Inclusive Description Working Group.
Some photographs have been transferred to the Library's Prints and Photographs Division where they are identified as part of these papers.

The papers of Rosamond Pinchot (1904-1938) span the years 1918-1955, with the bulk of the material dating from 1923 to 1937. The papers are in English.
A diary dating from 1933 to 1934 describes Pinchot's activities in private life as well as her career as an actress and includes details of Elisabeth Marbury's funeral and a behind the scenes report on Eleanor Roosevelt during the 1933 presidential inauguration festivities. Pinchot records her participation in several repertory theater productions and social encounters with Elizabeth Arden, Bennett Cerf, George Cukor, Howard Dietz, Beatrice Kaufman, George S. Kaufman, Robert Montgomery, Dorothy Parker, Irene Mayer Selznick, and David O. Selznick.
An address book, in Pinchot's hand, lists her many theater acquaintances. Two scrapbooks and numerous loose photographs depict her private and professional life and include signed photographs from George Cukor, Diana Cooper, Ruth St. Denis, and Ted Shawn, and candid shots taken at a summer party on Alexander Woollcott's island. Among the guests were Bennett Cerf and Harpo Marx. The scrapbooks also contain signed letters from George Cukor, Lillian Gish, Sinclair Lewis, Ferenc Molnar, and Eleanor Roosevelt and reviews of the play
