The debates of the Ireland Parliament House of Commons, formerly in the possession of the Stamp Office, Dublin, Ireland, and of W. McC. Torrens, M.P., were purchased by the Library of Congress, circa 1876.
The Ireland Parliament House of Commons Debates were arranged and described in 1961. The collection was revised in 2010.

The debates of Ireland Parliament House of Commons span the years 1776-1789. The material consists of verbatim shorthand reports of proceedings and parliamentary debates in the Irish parliament's lower house, together with longhand transcripts, made by or for Sir Henry Cavendish. The verbatim reports are contained in a series of forty-five volumes numbered 1 to 54 (reports numbered 3, 12, 14, 30-32, 46, and 51-52 were not received by the Library), while the transcripts are consecutively numbered 1 to 37.
