The papers of Harrington Putnam (1851-1937) span the years 1909-1928.
Putnam, who served as justice of the Supreme Court of New York from 1909 to
1921, maintained notes concerning cases heard by the court between 1909 and
1913. An index of evidence is also included.
Sir G. G. Greenwood, member of Parliament in the United Kingdom,
cofounder of the Shakespeare Fellowship, and author of the book
Shakespeare Problem Restated
, corresponded extensively
with Putnam from 1924 to 1928 concerning Shakespeare scholarship and related
matters.
