the Library of Congress by Davis in 1974.
Processing History
The papers of Roy Tasco Davis were arranged and described in 1976. The
finding aid was revised in 1998. In 2007 the collection was reorganized and the
finding aid was revised.

Scope and Content Note
The papers of Roy Tasco Davis (1889-1975) span the years 1886-1960
with the bulk of material dating from 1928 to 1933. The collection documents
Davis's mediation of a commission to establish a provisional boundary between
Honduras and Guetmala in 1928. The papers are in English and Spanish and
include correspondence with members of the commission; minutes of commission
meetings; legal briefs and exhibits submitted by Guatemala and Honduras;
annotated maps; Department of State cables, memorada, press releases, and
Davis's reports to the secretary of state; newspaper clippings; and printed
matter documenting the history of the boundary dispute. Correspondents include
the Honduran commissioner Augusto C. Coella and the Guatemalan commissioner
Carlos Salazar as well as Fausto Dávila, Ray Fox, Arthur H. Geissler, Charles
Evans Hughes, Frank B. Kellogg, A. Skinner Klee, Dana G. Munro, and George
Thomas Summerlin.
