The Aileen Moore Topping Collection Concerning a Spanish Diplomatic Mission to the United States contains typewritten English translations of reports of Spanish agents sent to the United States during the American Revolution to observe the Continental Congress. These reports span the years 1777-1785 and relate to missions led by Juan de Miralles (1777-1780) and Francisco Rendon (1780-1785). The translations were made by Topping from originals located in the Archivo Histórico Nacional and the Archivo General de Indias.
