Summary

  • This collection contains unique documentary photographs relating to the Russian Civil War in Siberia. The photographs highlight the anti-Bolshevik ("White") movements, underground and partisan activities in Tomsk Province, and the establishment of Soviet rule in Tomsk. The collection also includes material about the punitive expeditions of Admiral Aleksandr Kolchak. Most of the photographs were acquired by the Tomsk Oblast Museum of Regional History and Folklife in the 1920s and 1930s from the Research Commission on the History of the October Revolution and the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.   • -  В сформированную в Томске 7 апреля 1920 года Томскую коммунистическую бригаду особого назначения входили все коммунисты Томской губернии, способные носить оружие, поэтому во главе колонны войск ЧОН, кроме военных, помощник комиссара по продовольствию Томской губернии М.Л. Зиссерман. На первом плане - заместитель губернского продовольственного комиссара М.Л. Зиссерман на коне, справа от него всадник, предположительно - командир отрядов ЧОН - Евтюков.
