The papers of Hiram Collins Haydn, author, editor, publisher, and
educator, were given to the Library of Congress by Haydn between 1966 and 1985.
Additional material was given by his daughter, Miranda Haydn, in 1993.
Processing History
The papers of Hiram Collins Haydn were arranged and described in
1980. Material received between 1984 and 1987 was combined with a 1993 addition
and processed in 2006.

Copyright in the unpublished writings of Hiram Collins Haydn in these
papers and in other collections of papers in the custody of the Library of
Congress has been dedicated to the public.

The papers of Hiram Collins Haydn (1907-1973) span the years
1874-1978, with the majority concentrated in the period 1945-1973. The papers
primarily consist of manuscripts and galley proofs of some of Haydn's published
and unpublished works, but also include correspondence, memoranda, articles,
scripts, book reviews, financial and legal records, speeches, and printed
