  • In the first session, The making of an anthology, the poets discuss the relationship between children and poetry, comment on anthologies, and discuss illustrating an anthology, arranging the poems, and naming the book. In the second session, Children and poetry, the poets discuss the relationship between children and poetry, express opinions about a few children's poets, and define the necessary characteristics for good children's poetry. Both discussions take place before and after the readings which include the works of William Blake, Padraic Colum, Christina Rossetti, Laura Richards, Edward Lear, and others. The program also features two question-and-answer sessions.
