Notes

  • -  Interview with Amada Curling and Sylvia Contreras-Mas, co-owners of V.B.F., a garment cutting and sewing contractor business.
  • -  Summary of audio segment: Talk about a job for an environmental company. Wish there were more companies like that. Use all organic dyes, etc. But they see their garments in all sorts of stores. And that's the biggest joy, seeing your work there. You look at the tag, which tells you the star lot [?] number, and you know if it's your work. They give you that number when they issue a lot, so you can tell if it's your garment. SC-M likes to go through catalogs, and goes through all the books, and from there knows what we've done, their work. And there's a lot of bad work out there. V.B.F.'s work compares pretty well with other contractors' work. They look at the work of others, get samples from manufacturers, and they say they can make it better, and they do make it better.
