  • -  Summary of audio segment: He decided to stop in and check out whether interpreters were needed there. He did, and was told to see Chickie. He did, on the third floor. And he saw a woman whom he thought was Puerto Rican named Georgina Gonzales, who interviewed him and told him to bring a resume. AC went to Bergen County, then returned to Paterson a few days later, then brought a resume, got an interview. He was told he was overqualified, and they asked him to make a commitment to work as an interpreter for at least one year. AC took the job, and it was the best job he's ever had in his life. He went in at 9am, studied on the bus, was out at 4pm, had nothing to think about, sometimes even took the cases of other interpreters. But it was a very easy job, and when he gets frustrated now, he says he wants to go back to Mr. Parker and ask for his interpreter's job back.
