  • -  Interview with Jean Decker at Watson Machine International.
  • -  Summary of audio segment: Paterson had an active nightlife. At the Paterson Armory they had dancing -- the Policeman's Ball. They used to have food shows over there. There was an Italian club on Market Street. Quite a few places that people could go. The hotel -- Alexander Hamilton -- was right on Church Street. They got a new manager and are putting welfare people in there. One of the girls who worked here lived down there. But then she got sick. Jean was scared to death to be in the elevator. The people really put it down. We used to have many movie theaters -- The Fabian, on Market Street, Main Street. There was plenty to do.
